The book - simply titled "I" - represents the culmination of years of words that I've put down onto paper. One day while sifting through some papers and poems did I finally start to think I could assemble them somehow into a book-like form. I eventually decided to hand the reigns to a close graphic design friend of mine, giving him full range to work however he chose to. The graphic designer on this project - Kevin McCauley - has worked on this with me for nearly 2 1/2 years. We are both happy to present the final product of our collaboration and to reveal to the world just what we've been up to.

In his words, "This is an ongoing book project collaboration. It's both a dream project and a huge challenge: to use unlimited typographic illustration to best convey the meaning of words."

My newest title is composed of poetry written specifically with a theme in mind for it. I wrote it while pondering many changes lately to my own life, and how sometimes bridges and interchanges is the best way to describe those changes. It will consist of 12 brand new pieces of poetry (including my 200th poem, "To Time"), along with photographs that I have taken and paired with those pieces of poetry.
